Alaska
cruises have become one of the most popular ways to visit
Alaska. Cruises feature glaciers, wildlife, great food,
entertainment, interesting ports of call and fascinating tours
along way… and you only have to unpack once! There are a
number of different cruise itineraries in Alaska offered by
most of the major lines. We highly recommend the Gulf of
Alaska cruise itinerary offered by Princess Cruises. These
week-long cruises travel between Seward and Vancouver, BC with
either a northbound or southbound itinerary. Highlights
include Glacier Bay National Park, College Fjord in Prince
William Sound, and interesting port towns like Skagway, Juneau
and Ketchikan. Shore excursions are available in each port,
from historic railroad trips to landing on a glacier by
helicopter. Princess Cruises offers the newest ships in this
Alaska market featuring the Sun Princess, Coral Princess, Dawn
Princess and Island Princess. These fabulous ships are often
called "floating cities", with features like numerous
restaurants, lounges, Broadway style entertainment, casinos,
health clubs, movie theaters, libraries, and more. Alaska
cruises represent a great value - combining your
transportation, meal, entertainment and sightseeing expenses
into one reasonable fare.
Another
great choice for an Alaskan cruise is Holland America Line.
For Holland America's Gulf of Alaska itineraries feature three
ships - the Statendam, Ryndam and Veendam. A Holland America
Alaska cruise offers the sophistication of old-world style
cruising, from the industry pioneer of the Alaska cruise
market.
Please
visit our Princess Alaska cruise schedule or Holland America
Alaska cruise schedule pages for a complete list of gulf of
Alaska cruises.
Don't go
home from your Alaska cruise without seeing the land side of
our great state. After your week on an Alaska cruise, we
recommend spending another five to seven days exploring Alaska
by land. Alaska land tours can be arranged that start in
Anchorage or Fairbanks and end in Seward for a southbound Gulf
of Alaska cruise, or the reverse for a northbound cruise. For
more information on cruise tour options, see our pre cruise
tour and post cruise tour Alaska vacation packages.
An
Alaska vacation package from us is a great way to

with just a single call or email. We never mark up
our packages so you know you are getting the best
possible price. Our trained staff of Alaska based
travel specialists is available to answer your
questions, and to make sure your Alaska vacation
turns out to be the trip of a lifetime. Choose one
of our vacation packages and make any changes you

Let us plan the perfect custom vacation package
just for your party. A "Land Only" tour means that
you are flying to and from Alaska, a great way to
maximize your Alaska sightseeing time. Many people
fly roundtrip to Anchorage, the state's largest
airline hub. Others cover more territory by flying
into Anchorage and out of Fairbanks at the end of
their trip, or vice versa. Our self-guided
packages are a great choice for the independent
traveler. On these trips we will make all your
arrangements for you, but you will not be
traveling with a particular group or with a group
leader. On our Escorted tours you will travel with
an experienced Alaska travel guide, and with the
same group of fellow travelers throughout the
trip. Nearly all of our self-guided tours depart
daily from mid-May to mid-September, while
specific departure dates are listed for our
escorted tour programs.
Here are some hints for finding the perfect
package. You can re-sort this list by clicking on
any of the column headings (for example, "travel
by", "length", "cost"). To see a brief description
of the package, hold your mouse pointer over the
tour number (ie. "5010", "5020"). To see a full
itinerary for a package, or to request a quote a
specific package, click on the tour number for the
package you want.

selling Alaska vacation packages, use our handy
trip finder feature, or fill out a vacation

obligation quote for the package we think is just
right for you.
One of our specialties is arranging custom land
tour packages that connect with an Alaska cruise.
Passengers taking southbound cruise tours
generally fly to Alaska and start their land tour
in Anchorage or Fairbanks. These tours end in
Anchorage or Seward for a connection with a 7-day
Gulf of Alaska cruise to Vancouver, BC from Seward
or Whittier. All of our Alaska pre cruise tours
depart daily during the summer so they connect
with all major Alaska cruise lines that depart
Seward or Whittier.
Please note if you are departing
Whittier by cruise ship that we
can arrange Anchorage to Whittier transportation
by bus or railroad, and you can usually also
purchase the transfer from your cruise line. For
this reason, most of our land only tours can be
easily modified to connect with your cruise
departure from Whittier.
One of our specialties at Alaska Tour and Travel
is arranging custom land tour packages that
connect with an Alaska cruise. Passengers taking
northbound cruise tours generally cruise to Seward
or Whittier, Alaska on a 7-day Gulf of Alaska
cruise from Vancouver, BC. From Seward or
Anchorage they tour Alaska by land, flying home
from either Anchorage or Fairbanks. Nearly all of
our Alaska post cruise tours depart daily during
the summer so they connect with all the major
Alaska cruise lines that arrive in Seward or
Whittier.
Please note that the town of
Whittier has limited transportation access. For
this reason, we suggest selecting a land tour that
begins in Anchorage and utilizing the cruise line
transfer from Whittier to Anchorage. See our land
only tour page for more tours that begin in
Anchorage.
